Dean Alec Gallimore, founder of the Plasmadynamics and Electric Propulsion Laboratory, will be leaving the University of Michigan to serve as the provost and chief academic officer of Duke University. In honor of his incredible achievements and lasting impact at PEPL, we have renamed our main vacuum chamber the Alec D. Gallimore Large Vacuum Test Facility. We wish him the best of luck in his new position!
